Going to a friends place next weekend. Not many deer but they have been seeing a few whitetail and I really want to murder a whitetail. Do it, Murder a booner. Yeah, with rut here I'll probably buy another tag myself. I can't take it. Course, I'll have to check the 30 day forecast first. I'm gonna hit the Snake for steelhead Sunday. We'll see, was out there a couple weeks ago and didn't see any. How many tags can you get a year?

As a resident, one.
Then, even though you are a resident, another tag is at non-res price.
They have like 12,000 non-res tags.
If they have not sold them all ANYONE can purchase another tag at that price.
Since we have wolves, they have sold under 4000 non res tags this year.
So there are LOTS of tags available.
If it was the good ole days, I would be limited to my one resident tag deer, as ALL of the non tags would be gone already.

They don't like to shoot wolves in Idaho? I drilled one in the chest with an 80gr TTSX out of my 243 but the darn thing got up and took off. I know I hit it solid because my buddy saw it drop like a rock.

Son has a draw hunt over Thanksgiving weekend. Haven't turned up much scouting for his either.
