Earlier in the season I promised Matthew if he kills a nice buck I would do a shoulder mount for him so yes he will be getting it mounted.
The bullet is a WW 158 jhp powered by 19.5 grains of lil gun.

Great job, Matthew. A boy's first buck is something very special.

Awesome beyond words. I hope one or both of my girls will pull the trigger some day. They're only 5 and 7 now so we'll see. They love Elk and Deer meat so I might have a prayer of getting into hunting when they get a little older.

Very nice! Bet you guys were thrilled.

Working on a first buck for my daughter, can't see anything but does when I take her. Buddy wanted a doe yesterday, so I took him to a stand where he winds up seeing nothing but bucks. That's hunting! (grin)

No matter how big the deer that fall in the coming years, the first one is always the most special.

Knuckle bump to Matthew.

Awesome job, Matthew! Looks like a well placed shot on a good deer - way to keep your cool!

I don't know about you, but I still get the shakes after a shot on a nice deer. What a feeling!

Have a good day man. In honor of personal freedom and the open squirrel season, I think I'll go put a hole through dinner's head.
