Funny, I had a disturbingly whacked out liberal lawyer lecturing me on anoter website.

I posted a link to Dianne Feinsteins latest gun control measures....

http://www.examiner.com/article/senator-feinstein-looking-to-introduce-new-assault-weapons-ban

and also California Governor Jerry Brown's signing of a major anti hunting bill...

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/californ...california.html

This assh*le continues to blather on claiming that democrats pose no real threat to gun owners and hunters and that the NRA is simply a for profit business that wrings cash from it's foolish supporters with fear mongering tactics .....he truly believes this sh*t.
Living in California I see the battle lines first hand, makes me sick...

I wouldn't give them the time of day, much less any money...Sal...the best bang for your buck is either calguns or the second amendment foundation...I diligently sent them dues for more years than I want to admit...back in the eighties IIRC, they were involved with a huge nepotism scandal. They supposedly made changes but the only thing in Ca. they're willing to talk about is your checking account...ymmv.

The NRA does fight for gun rights, but you've got to consider the million dollar salaries of some of its executives. Richard Feldman, a former NRA lobbyist wrote a book "Ricochet" detailing how the NRA works. They actually enjoy having liberal Presidents and congresses as it increases membership, donations and gun sales.

The best way to beat that is to eradicate liberals. Permanently grin

The NRA lobby is the 500 pound gorilla in the room. I will continue to allow them to wring money out of me.

Yes, we should listen to a guy who is a head lobbyist for potheads. He wrote Ricochet to make money. He's a whore attorney, lobbyist, not much lower than that on the planet.

The NRA has no reason to win. If they win, the reason to throw money at them goes away. I haven't seen them do anything really good in quite some time. They've outgrown themselves and become a greedy company like most others.

Calguns has so far proved to be worth their weight in gold. At least for Californians. The same could be said for them in regards to the incentive to win. So far though, they've done well. Time will tell if they stay true to their stated beliefs.

I don't believe the NRA is in it for a cause anymore.

Flame me all you want. The NRA is the big dog on the block. The NRA has been the voice of gun owners for years.
If you don't like how the NRA works then vote new directors in. IMO any gun owner that doesn't support the NRA is a fool. There are how many gun owners in the US, and only 3 million NRA members.
Yeah, don't vote or vote for Obama and tell me how much you support gun rights.
GOA and other groups are great, but don't forget the NRA.

Yeah, California is reknowned as being soooooo gun-friendly. crazy

Admit it guys... NRA, SAF, GOA, CalGuns, you name it, California is pretty much lost as far as ever regaining any meaningful gains in getting back your lost gun rights.

Sal---- The so called lawyer you speak of has been dis-bar'd/suspended. You leaving there is a big loss (for them). I wouldn't/won't give them the satisfaction and I hope you reconsider. You and your boy are an asset to any site.

[bleep] the loud-mouthed liberals...don't (PLEASE!!!!) let them get the best of you.

Google saf and see all the suits they have for us. They brought Heller and McDonald cases NRA took credit for. NRA did join them but advised against those cases IIRC.

NRA supported Harry Reid's bid in 2012.
