Swift lists a 62 grain Scirocco bullet in 22 caliber.
What twist rate is needed to stabilize? Any on-game terminal performance yet?

I've been looking at it, right now I'm using the 75 gr Scirocco in my .223 and its a killer.
Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Guessing you would need a 1-9" for the 62. Swifts run long.

Wonder if it'd shoot better than the 75 version...

Thx Scott-I've had incredibly poor luck in getting the Scirocco's to shoot but if I have the 8 twist tube screwed on and turned into a Swift AI this is one slug I'd love to give a go.
I'll have to take at a look at it vs the 75 Amax. Thoughts on those two as all around bullets Scott or anyone else? Not a volume shooter in the Swift AI but sight it in and go use it on yotes and big game.
Have a great day all!

I like the Amax but haven't killed any big furry critters with one. Generally my 223AI is either stuffed with 75gr Swifts or 62gr TSX's, depending on mood. Of late it's been the 75gr Swift. Took this yote with the 75gr Swift 2 months ago. Only direction he moved was straight down.

First time on paper with the 75gr Swift, 4 shots. Killed a buck a few days later with it. Still haven't caught a bullet. To be frank I'm probably not the person that should say it is wicked, in that I seldom shoot paper. I don't think it's seen paper since that day in the summer of 2006 but I hit everything I aim at with it. Last shot with the 75 before the yote was a crow's head at 240 yards.
