Nice looking rifles Dave. What do you have sitting in your Edge HTG?

If you're debating HTG and Classic, why not go to a thinner monte carlo style stock with a little higher comb and buy a Sako Hunter? Better than either in my opinion.

If you're going Edge, go Hunter's Compact and a light contour tube.

As others have said, I'd go Classic and standard fill. The last 2 classics I weighed both were 29oz.

Got to handle an HTG last night. Granted it wasn't ideal as the rifle was a 12#'r with a 50mm obj scope on it. You absolutely needed a stock pack for optimal cheek weld/line of sight with his scope and ring combo (med rings). I didn't like it like I thought I would. Glad I didn't have to pay $500 and wait 4 months to realize that!!!

Trying to get my hands on a Manners SL now...and compare it to the Classic.

That's the nice thing about coming on here to ask about Mcmillans (or a lot of other things): there are plenty of folks that have BTDT and can save a guy a lot of money trying to do R&D himself.

I do all mine that way.....

Could you hang a pic of the tang area???

Many thanks.
