We have a Greek pizza shop in my 'burg. Demetrio's, been here since around 1977, and I've been going to it since that long. Back in around 1980, we had another one called Zorba's that was pretty dang good, too, but they disappeared.
The owner of Demetrio's is always friendly, and the staff knows I'm a regular and are always chatty. I always make it a point to say hello to everybody, even the folks in the kitchen and the guys who clean the tables.
I can understand why Mafia kingpins has meet their death in their favorite restaurant. Were I a wiseguy, I'd prolly wind up getting iced in Demetrio's.
