Looking at both of these for a coyote/varmint/fun gun.
How has your experience been with either one?

I have a older Noveske 16" Recon and it is typical of a top tier gun. Runs without issue and for a lightweight gun it is very accurate. I would not hesitate to buy another Noveske gun.
I have no experience with the LMT so I will let someone else comment on it.
Good luck,

For a coyote/varmint gun, I'd do the Noveske without hesitation. That is what that particular rifle is made for. That LMT is more of a fighting rifle, IMHO.
This is coming from a HUGE LMT fan.
What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?

I had a rogue hunter barrel (16" LW) and it was a shooter.

I love LMT but Noveske is definitely a step above.

I sort of like my Noveske. Just don't get anything with VIS as its over built. However a Chrome lined I guess made by FN barrel that shoots about MOA along with a RRA NM trigger in the lower plus LaRue LT-104/NF 1-4 optic on it and its not too bad. The VIS upper, 17 ounce scope, Recce Barrel makes it pig heavy but it shoots well. I am not sure I would compare it to an LMT.

LMT CQB16 is on its way to my FFL...
Now I'm taking everyone's advice and looking at the Rogue Hunter for yotes!
Next task: optics!

I would mount a L3 XPS3 EOTech on the LMT CQB16
Noveske Rogue Hunter I would mount a Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8X36

I dunno about the Rogue Hunter, but my Noveske Thunder Ranch is simply un-frickin-believable ... what a GORGEOUS carbine. Count me as a Noveske fan. And a believer. Blessings, Steve

I like both LMT and Noveske. I don't think I would buy the Thunder Ranch, as all your really paying for is an extra name etched into the rifle. Every Noveske I have ever shot was lights out!

I have two rouge hunters. One in 5.56 and the other in 300 blackout. Both shoot great. Using a suppressor on the Blackout kicks up the fun factor.

Mines a 300 Blackout too. I bought it for whitetail in the thick stuff.
I haven't thought much about a suppressor yet, but I like the cartridge a lot, and I could definitely see an SBR in my future.

further evidence that those crummy FN barrels used by Noveske are not that bad.

Noveske uses FN?
Ain't that a crock. Like another BIG name in the AR world that everyone worships and you aren't even getting a top line barrel.
Thats part of the issues I have with the names costing a lot of money and you don't even end up with a Rock or Krieger or such. BUT you might get a nice logo or perfect finish or 73 point rail.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Crap! No Noveske uses PacNor blanks for their SS barrels.
They do offer chrome moly double chrome lined machine gun barrels from FN but their name is based on their SS barrels.
That's like saying John Holliger uses Wilson barrels.

Got it. I thought I"d even read that if they didn't use PN they did an in house barrel which could be good or bad depending...
PN is definitely far from my top pick of barrel brands, but I"ve burned out a bunch of them on ARs due to them building what I wanted where Krieger would not. ONly problem was that about 1 in 10 just were not shooters.

Going from memory they are built by pacnor guys on Johns machines to his specs or something like that. He has ties to them anyway.

And I've only had two of them, both have been shooters but Krieger is a tad better.

Dogzapper's crummy Noveske FN chrome lined barrel that shoots into a dime my crummy Noveske FN crome lined barrel shoots into about a MOA, I guess I should work on a better load for it. Point being both are chrome lined barrels.
