Yep. Folks give me krap about packing such a weenie handgun so I always ask " Do you want me to shoot at you with it?" Answer is always a cryptic"no!" The .223 load is usually a 55 gr Horn. Kills everything from gophs to deer....

BGG, You done any work on your 22/45 or is it stock? Pure stock. In fact paid $200 bucks for it used 12 years or so ago. Love that plastic thing. First time I tore it apart I couldn't get it back together. Took it to a 'smith and paid to have it put back together. That was the last [bleep] time that happened. I figured htat bish out after that.

That, plus a Volquartsen trigger job and she shoots lights out. I had forgotten how fun/useful a .22 pistol can be.

How about a temp redirect on this thread and show some pics of your truck guns? Here are the three that vary in my Jeep...

I've never pulled the trigger on one of those kits. I've always wondered if they're worth it. The stock trigger is pretty bad, no doubt. I've beat the pizz outta that thing, but she still goes bang and shoots pretty damn good. But I'd bet with a better trigger she'd really sing.

I figured htat bish out after that. Had the same issue. Sold mine after I finally got it back together. I carry a SR22 everywhere I go. Stays in the truck all the time. I wonder how many 22's are riding around....
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Both mods were, IMO, totally worth the money. Mine is last years model with the mag disconnect which made the trigger even worse and wouldn't even allow a loaded mag to drop free. Way annoying. Now the empty mag drops free and the trigger is a ~2 lb dream. And the speed strip makes it so much easier to clean (although those little Rugers hardly need it!)
