I HAVE KILLED MORE WITH A 30 CAL THAN ANY OTHER. I STARTED WITH A 35 REM IN MARLIN 336. NEXT WAS A REM M700 30-06 THEN WENT TO A 300WM IN BROWNING BAR. I WILL HAVE TO HUNT SERVAL YEARS TO CATCH UP TO THE NUMBERS IT IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR. I BOUT A CUSTOM SAKO 25-06 THIS YEAR AND IT IS QUICKLY GROWING ON ME. I GUESS IF I HAD TO PICK ONE DO-ALL CALIBER TODAY IT WOULD BE THE 300WM. NOT MUCH I CANT DO WITH IT!!!

.280 Rem or AI
2nd choice: 7Mag to .25'06 for LR, .308 Win for close in the bush

I'm partial to something in the range of .224"-.730" calibers, inclusive.
I am..........disturbed.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

7mm-08 .30-30 .300 WM .270 I've killed more deer with .300WM and .270 than I have with my top two but for the hunting I do in Northern Minnesota, the 7mm-08 and .30-30 are my go to calibers. Plus I really like the rifles they are chambered in. Tikka T3 Lite for 7mm-08 and Marlin 336 RC. Both are great shooters.

Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.
