I have an opportunity to buy a Kimber 82 in 22 Hornet - the standard version. The blueing finish is 99+% and the orange colored walnut is 98%. The rifle also comes with a Leupie M-8 that is 7.5 power. The objective and eyepiece have turned a plum color. The owner cannot vouch about any accuracy but the rifling looks clean.
I know the shop paid $1100 for it and I can get it for $1150.

So what do others more knowledgeable with this model think?
Thanks

Thanks Brad. I've been peeking around here and there. I don't know enough about original Kimbers but thought the 22 Hornet was a great cartridge. We'll see what happens. Hope all is well over there and Merry Christmas.

I really do think that's a great buy. If I had a hankering for a hornet, I'd be all over it.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

Mark,
Yes except I think yours is a super grade. The walnut is an orangish color - I should add. My gunshop guy said he was told it was California walnut.
Also I wasn't aware there was a 7.5 scope in the M8. It has that plum look too.

More like this, right? $1150 is a steal in my book. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $1500.

Sweet rifle, from what ive seen on GB they go for ~$1500-$1600 more often. Get it! 22 hornet would be a cool caliber to have too.

I'll call today and see if its available to be put on "hold".
I do enough biz with them so it should be no problemo.

Mark,
I have it on hold. We'll see if I can motor out there again next week. I PM'd "Headache" by the way to see if he had any incite.
But unfortunately he has no knowledge of that earlier company and Model.
