Take it that is from your .222 Deflave?

Yes. That is the deuce.

David....did you bed the new deuce? If you did mon frere, which kit did you go with?
JC

The Miles Gilbert kits are real easy if you've never done one. They're called Miles Gilbert right? I think they are.

Brownells Acraglass kits are real good too. After you use a kit or two you can use whatever you want. But out of the gate I think the kits are real nice.

Thanks David!

Got an old Marlin 94 that shoots patterns like that with a tang sight at half that distance with 10 shots. I blame the bullets 20% of the time and take credit for the rest.

Your deuce has potential.

Installed a new taller front sight on my son's #3. Soon as the wind dies down we'll be sighting it in.

Brown Santa also brought a new front sight for his Henry Youth .22. I had taken the fiber-optic fs of his mini-bolt and used a custom wood spacer and high tech adhesive material to customize it. Now, there is a metal fs with the two holes so the mag tube is secured and several color options for the bead. (original was plastic and black and sucky). I'll probably have to reattach the portion of the buttstock I removed, as he's intent on getting [bleep] taller. grin

Depends on what size scope. I've got an old 3-9 x somephukinghting Leup in mediums on mine. Same style base/ring you are talking about.

Ditch the one piece and go Leupold DD or Talleys.

FUnny thing about the taped up custom lever. My favorite GI Joe as a kid was Recondo, and he had a short rifle with a tape/camo wrapped around the gun. I had a toy lever gun that shot cork balls (that were lost soon after I got it of course) and I taped the crap out of the rear portion of the barrel/magtube area. Loved the [bleep] out of that thing.

Maybe I'll do something like that to my Marlin .44.........

That deuce is rocking BFF! Can't wait to see how the bergers do!

I'm going weavers on weaver bases on mine when I find the ambition.
