Took off today. Have some stuff to do. Wife and two older kids just left for school. Getting breakfast ready for the 18 month old, look out the window and the biggest bobcat I've ever seen is walking across my lake dam behind the house! I grab the Fireball and its gone before I can get the door open...

I'm guessing it was a male. Pretty coat. We don't grow 'em as big as you boys out west, but I bet he was in the 30's. we've killed 3 others (me 2, dad 1) on the farm in the last couple of years and the heaviest was 23. All females and none as pretty as this guy.

Now I think I'm sick....time to get the fox pro out.

It's the deuce variety. I've not killed anything with it yet that I could inspect. Couple of ground hogs, but they were both in bean fields that I didn't need to be walking across.

I'm guessing it would have been a little rough if it exited. I'm shooting the 40gr Varmageddon at about 3400fps. I need to bust a coyote or somebody's big azz tomcat for reference! We have a nice red fox population here too and was going to start calling this weekend.
