FJ, that's a 'factory' made bed, we didn't design that [bleep].
About $10k but they are handier than hell.

Slave, we use twine. That is some hay we bought from our neighbor.

Net wrap is way faster for making a bale but twine holds up better for carryover bales.

Only chitty part about feeding rounds is getting the twine/wrap off a bale when they are icy. That sucks.

God I hate snow, I don't miss it a bit. Those pics remind me of back in the day.

I hated snow when we farmed/ranched. Then when I went to cop'n I hated it more. Them crown vics didn't do good.

On the farm we had a 13 foot dozer on an 8440 that did fine. We also had a 6 foot snowblower.

we still put up loose hay when i was a kid. we loaded it with the 'Farmahnd' and pitched it off with a pitch fork. 'twas kinda fun driving the buckrake when putting up the hay.

we went from loose hay to round bales. missed out on the small square bales...

Sammo, I haven't a phd in bucking bales, but I've at least earned my Masters. grin

They invented roundbales for a reason.....

Never messed with any loose hay, Toad, can't say as I'm sorry. Except maybe to say I've done it.

when i was growing up, we had an old Norwigan neighbor that fed his cows with nothing but a pitch fork, team of horses, and bob sled or hay wagon depending on the snow pack at the time. did it that way 'till the '80s.

Hans was one tough 'ol boy, and one of the best people i've ever known.
