I don't want to make you feel bad...but I bought my 99F .284 in 1978 from a pawn shop in SLC for $75.00. At the time I was working in retail and the store had a bunch of Winchester 284 ammo that wasn't selling. My boss sold it all to me for $1.00 a box just to get it off the inventory. 30+ boxes of it.

Paid $900 for mine this summer, and it's just a near mint crappy old 99C smile. Shudda jumped on it iffn you could swing it.
