No mods. It's a Magnum Research. Started life as .17 Mach2 but the cases were exploding so I sent it back to become a deuce-deuce.

Interesting. I put a MR .17 M2 (tensioned CF) on my 10/22 and used it that way for a while. Just put the Volquartsen .22 back on. I'll have to get a pic up. Wears a Burris 3-9 FFII, but no turrets. Exceptionally accurate and a blast to shoot (not to mention cheap).

Where do you have it zeroed? And how does the ballistic plex line up?

IIRC, I'm at 50 yards then 75, 100. I've been shooting so much CF recently I haven't wrung out the .22 for a while and I just put the Volquartsen barrel back on late this summer.

I had to move the scope to the receiver for the .17 HM2 and then move it back on the Volquartsen (it's got a cantilevered mount).

May end up shooting it quite a bit if I can't get .223 brass this spring/summer after the lunacy dies down (if it does).

May also have to buy a Trip Duece or TwoFifty for the previous reasons.

Still, carrying the 10/22 and the 22/45 ain't exactly slumming it for chucks and Peter cottontail...

Dude, 1st or 2nd antelope in my life and I was leaning the over the hood. Must have been a low rider 1/2 ton because I remember right before I was about to pop off one of the 'old' [bleep] sitting in the pickup said, "I think he's gonna shoot the hood."

I was like 13 years old(shooting downhill and couldn't see the hood through the scope...blah blah excuse), luckily I heard him and didn't shoot.
