Are both the bullets listed as AMAX?

Are the cases the same

Are the Primers the same

Have you Looked at the Horn book to see how they stack up?

You will find the answer to most of your questions in my earlier post

Hornady doesn't list a load for H4350 in its 7th edition, but predicts 2600-2700fps with max loads across the powders it does list.

Hornady 8th edition only has data for IMR and Alliance versions of the 4350. The IMR version is very close to Hodgdon variety so you might be able to get an idea from it, but it lists 48.3gr max at 2600fps. Sorry no pressure rating though.

The A4350 shows a max load of 44.1gr at 2600 as well.

Hope this helps.

I run 47g h4350 at 2.825 and get 2700 from a 22" faux Ti. I've been called out here for being over book but I worked up that load from a shooting bench not a couch.

I got flattened primers, loose primer pockets, and 2700ish fps at 46 grains with h4350 and 162 a-max's at 2.900" in my 7mm-08. But 46 grains of rl17 does well over 2700 with good accuracy and primers/pockets fare much better.

The old adage of every gun is different so start low and work up still applies here...

I may try that. I've got lots of RL17 on hand and maybe it'd work at mag length without getting into nearly the compression.

Have you run it over a chrono much? If so, how consistent is the velocity?

If I am correct, 50cup is pretty close to 58psi. If you work up, you will be fine. Book numbers are just a starting reference. Load to your rifle and see if the brass likes it.

I think, therefore I am, conservative.
