Just be careful, there is a difference in case support between various guns. I think a member here, blew a case head on a G20 and damaged the gun. Work up carefully and watch for any signs of bullet setback in feeding, or bulges at the case head. The photo above is from a Delta with a Bar-sto barrel. The load was AA#7, and it ran 155's at 1425 fps. The load was well under Hornady's max., at the time. It was very accurate. The Kimber is fussy, but it does have that ramped barrel, which gives better support to the case head. Its barrel is on the left in this photo:

i got some norma 170 grain hollow point ammo thats in the old wood looking box. if the first one or 2 don't work i got 15 more to seal the deal. the more holes leak blood the better.

never had my hands on a M1920.....original fly weight bolt action.... Yes, they are interesting rifles. This one is a shooter grade, having had a side mount scope put on it, but it shoots well. I am going to like it with the correct sight.

VERY nice rifle there! It reminds me a lot, in profile etc, to my Brno ZKW465 22 K-hornet. Also a miniaturized true Mauser action. Question of the century here..... How come they could do Mauser actions to actually FIT various classes of cartridges back then, but not today? Why, when one buys a rifle in 223 for example, do you have to lug around an action built for the 308 classes of cartidges that is merely blocked and otherwise poorly adapted to diminutive rounds? As far as I know, only CZ now has a bolt action rifle that is truly of a correct size for the smaller cartridges. Savage has a new budget rifle in 22 Hornet, but how about a couple of nice rifles like the Model 1920, small Brno's and Sakos of yesteryear, and we have better machining and technology with CNC etc. Rant over, sorry for the rabbit trail

I'm thinking of using my Old 4 & 3/8 Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt with the RCBS 270 GR CAST and 7.5 gr of Titegroup.

I believe I will stay sober this year to avoid any possibility of getting caught between you and Gunner! On second thought, it'll probably hurt less after some Apple Pie. George

Bea175 is going to be the manager for our tagteam when Ingwe and me wrestle JeffO and Swampy for the tag team titles in a cage match.
I can't wait.
