Maybe not as fun as grinding rust & sanding paint but those jobs need to be done too! grin

It would almost be worth the drive over there to hear Joe's stories about his snowmobiling adventures today!!!

The mighty triple crapped a coil today, that took some trouble shooting, but we robbed one off the "spare triple" lol!

Joe is full of stories and he's ready to go on a big family adventure ride now.

(about a 3 mile loop close to home)

I like that triple. Is that the one I used a few years back? Fun and quick.

I used grandpas "new" yamaha ovation yesterday. A 1996 fan cooled 340. Good sled for letting the kids drive around with help from dad. I was brave enough to let them try it on their own. Especially after my princess decided shed like to try some jumps. crazy

I think back then you were riding the blue triple, the 94 model which is a 580 with the 10" suspension. (actually a nicer trail sled IMO)

The black one that Nate is on is a 96 with a Frankenstein engine, bottom end is 97, top end is 96. Better bottom end and crank in 97.

Seeing those pics brings back memories of riding a 440 Cheetah at the River Bend outside of East Grand Forks.
Good times.

Yep, that's the one. The 580. Is that suspension the "m 10? Why did they stop with the 12"?

If you ever get an "xtra 12" stuck in deep snow, you'll understand why they stopped making it. lol!

-29.7 this morning.

I might try to plug my old pickup truck in today when I get to work.

a balmy -21 here this morning. With a refreshing 20 mph breeze. I even put my coat on to take the garbage out to the end of the driveway.

It is a long story how we ended up with the Buckmark, but Reeds lists the laminate one for $599.99....?

It was -12 when I went out to fire up the red wagon. It started fine but wasn't happy about it.

Cold enough for me. Yuck.

They must have really taken a jump in price in the last year or so.

I bought one in the spring of 2011 from GM with gift cards I'd saved up over the years and I bought it for right around $300.

Broke out the down parka this morning. Didn't wear it at all last year.

brought my dad out to lunch and it was -12 on the truck thermomoter. Windy too. I wonder how far a guy could make it in a pair of boxers and flip flops?

Good ideas on the banquet prizes fellas, I will float some of them to the committee.

Thanks Stan. I feel warmer already. grin

Bright and sunny here too, except our high was -6*.

Schools North of us are already announcing delayed start times or closures due to low temps and wind chills for Tuesday.

I don't recall schools ever closing for cold when I was a kid. Rural kids may not have made it because they canceled the bus runs, but we city kids were expected to show up.
