Another serious question before going to the optics forum. Do you guys run spotting scopes for target shooting/hunting. If so, what would be a decent model to cover both that won't break the bank. I know the high end stuff is the schit, but looking for more 'budget' models (also realize you can't go too cheap).

PS I got a good pair of 8x binos. Need something more to see bullet holes/strikes at longer range and to double for hunting. Thanks.

Chris

I was hoping it would butch me up like Ace and bring me more luck with the wimmen. Or maybe I should just frequent Dan's bars to improve my 'luck'! smile

Hi Poobah! Greetings from Yankeetown.

Survived this adventure somehow. Week without a good bed was a bitch. The mob at Sierra Vista said you have to make it next year. Probably warmer than Montucky in January is my guess.

No problemo...it takes a certain kind of fool to stare down a hole in minus 20 weather hoping to catch something that tastes like a fish....

Sorry on the pic.

Figure Barbo is probably wasted from his drive...he did have to endure Texas. Driving for long periods wipes me out, man.

No wonder you Hi-Liners like the varmint thing...gotta be PD and gopher Nirvana. We got way too much sage for any LR shooting of small stuff on the ground.

I run all Swaro, but for your application I would be looking hard at Vortex Spotting Scopes.
