I was wondering if anyone could help me remember the name of a guy that used to write for Field & Stream. He mainly wrote the Outdoor Skills/Wilderness Survival articles for F&S 2-3 years ago. I don't see his name in there anymore and can't remember his name to look it up. His stuff was always very practical and down-to-earth (kinda like our own Mule Deer).
Any help appreciated,
Jed

Keith McCafferty is the one! Any idea what happened to him? Always enjoyed his writing! Maybe practical, real-world tips that weren't about using a sponsors latest whizz-bang rifle/bullet/bass boat/rod/lure weren't sexy but I found them enjoyable and useful.

jedgreen,

As you can tell from Keith's website, he's written some mystery novels in the past few years. I know Keith pretty well and he only lives about an hour from me, but haven't talked to him for a couple of years. At that time the first novel was about to appear, and apparently it was enough of a success that he doesn't have as much time to write for F&S anymore.
