80 mile trip to a Doc. Visited with the fam for a little. Drizzling rain here so I just hung out at home. No racing tomorrow so my night is free.

Cleaned in my shop most of the day.

Made an emergency run to a friends ranch due to a horse accident. Everyone is OK.

Back in the shop, cleaned up a bunch of surplus chain I scrounged for my Trimarran, or collected for ranch andlogging projects. Cut off old shackles, removed spliced in rope, etc. I have all I need for two anchors for the boat, plus I found two long chains and one short one with hooks on them so I put one in the Samurai.

Added two new pegboards onone wall, moved a shelf, and swept or vacumed most of it.

Then before I left I reassembled the propeller and shaft for the tri so I could contimue epoxying the deadwood together.

My girlfriend is going to help sort all the misc nails, screws, nuts and bolts, and small nautical fittings tomorrow so I set up tables for that, then cut a pipe into lengths so I can move the safe I am rebuilding around in the shop.

Then I went and took my grandson down to the dock to look at fishing boats.

Pretty typical rainy retirement day for me right now.

A good day here. Drove up to Jax to visit with my daughter, her husband Phil, and the new grandbaby.
His parents were up, and some friends came over. Watched the North /South college all star game, cooked out, and drove the 75 miles home.
Great day. smile

Worked on a rental for a couple hours and then went to the range. It was cold and raining, but I needed to do some shooting. Went home, sorted and polished brass then cast some .40 bullets. It's still raining.

Plowed the sub division streets and several driveways with my ATV, picked up 12 40 lb bags ofice melt, and took a nice walk in the woods. There's a really big oak down from last summer's Derecho storm. The root ball is close to 8' in diameter. The woods was quiet.

Good on you. I hope your boys were right there with you with shovels too though, Mac. wink

In the city, we'd flood parking lots and tennis courts. Voila! Instant rink.

Today? Let's see...

Sold some rimfire ammo to a neighbor because all the stores are out.

Hung out with my Air Force son.

Talked on the phone with my youngest Army son who is in Washington.

Sold a Rat distortion pedal on CraigsList and ended up with a new customer for my music store in the process.

Took care of Mrs. Plinker who is coming down with a cold.

Played lead guitar for the Saturday night service at church and rocked the flock.

Hanging out on the CampFire sipping rum & Coke.

Typical day....
