I've got enough rimfire stored away to last a couple of lifetimes unless I just decide to start plinking a brick a day....
17hmr 20grn hp for the 93 Savage and 22LR CCI HP's for the Ruger 10/22 w/ GM barrel...

I wouldn't hope - I'd place some back orders now. I've got A-max's, SST's, Varget, H4350, brass and primers back ordered from several different places. I'm no where near running out and I plan to keep it that way....

Good on brass, primers and powder . Have a couple hundred each of what I would like to shoot when it shows up but we'll see.

As soon as I buy a bunch of what I want it to shoot, it will hate them.

Then I cant even qualify as a prepper... But Im sure the press would short stroke all over the place if they saw my 'arsenal'.. A good day on the gopher killing fields can cost 1000 rounds of centerfire...

1,000 in a day is a bunch.
1,000 .308's would last me a long time.

Personal best day was 1800 rounds of .223 and 500 rounds of .22s
My partner shot almost exactly that amount as well...

It was all with bolt guns. By the end of the day my shoulder was actually bruised from the little gun, my trigger finger and thumb were bleeding ( thumb from flipping the safety) and I was hopped up on codiene that I take for a bum shoulder...repetitious motion really gets it..

I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Good times FO' sho, Poobah. I've had lots of folks not understand or believe that you can shoot enough to require rifle switching because of hot barrels. It's a good problem.

Good times FO' sho, Poobah. I've had lots of folks not understand or believe that you can shoot enough to require rifle switching because of hot barrels. It's a good problem. When I set up, I have 3 rifles on the hood of the truck and a 10/22 leaning up against the bumper for when those real close little sage rats pop up... I switch back and forth every 15 shots between a pair of 223s, and the third rifle is either a 223 with a fast 40 grain load, or a 22.250.. for those far out there shots I might want to take ( 250 yds plus ) the pair of 223s are loaded normally to about 218 Bee or 22 K Hornet velocities... neither barrel heats up that much really, with those loads, and keeping shots to about 2 or 3 every 2 minutes or so... I keep mine to single shot as I have a bench rest follower installed on most of my varmint rifles... Most I've gone thru is about 1100 rounds in a day.... my usual problem that causes me to stop, is a head ache from scope squint for about 5 hours or more... and that is after taking a couple of aspirins and Tylenol and hour or so earlier

Went out calling today, didn't see chit except for a ton of old wolf tracks and some snares from some bonehead that doesn't have a clue what he is doing. If my traps weren't stuck in Ketchikan I would be setting some tomorrow. Had to carry around my savage axis, I think my modl 7 gave me the stink eye when I took it over to my managers house (we aren't allowed to keep guns in the bunkhouse). I hope to have some sweet dead wolf pictures soon.
Still no word on the kodiak job.
