148 grain button-tip wc from Magnus in 357 case, 7 grains Unique, CCI SP was found inside 7th jug. Last 4 were just holes, first 3 blew out.

135 grain GoldDot shortbarrel in 357 case, 17 grains H110, WSP mag was found inside 3rd jug, and weighed 69.9 grains. Blew the [bleep] out of the first 2 jugs.

Distance was 10 yards. Pics of the bullets and and more results later.

Gonna find out in about 20 mikes.

Unless you fill them with H2O, all of them.

With H20, hardcast wins.

Plus some others. Been loading the 3" mod 60 with factory 125 grain sjhp Rem 38+P's for the wife for years. I got some 135 grain golddot short barrels to try in it, and I haven't seen enough to change my mind. Traditional HBWC's for practice and the factory 125 +P's for carry.

But I found my 2 fav loads for the 4" 586 and Marlin 1894C to be 180 grain sjhp-13 grains H110-brass trimmed back to 1.22" so it will cycle through the Marlin when crimped in the cannelure. Second load is 7 grains Unique with a hard 148 grain wadcutter in 357 brass. Same POI out of both guns to 20-25, haven't shot the wc's past that yet.

I found it very interesting how the 270 grain gold dot opened up and thus retarded the penetration out of the Marlin vs the 629.

How does this look so scientific, while your targets look like the contents of a goat's stomach?
