And a chitty pic of a weird gun. Connecticut Shotguns .22 WMR double rifle. As petite as it is odd.

Just curious Dan,how much was the double rifle .22 mag? Elmer should buy it for those charging tree rats. grin

Up in the high teens as I recall, closer to 20 than 15. Fella said it was a one of a kind gun...FWIW.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen of the BTE. If I shrank myself and gave my beard to Jr we'd pass for brothers. Poor kid, doesn't deserve to be that lucky. grin

Never tried to eat one of the porky's, I too've heard they're not bad though. If I were ambitious I'd have pulled the guard hairs and traded the quills for some fireworks or something. I actually wanted to pull the [bleep] thing out for a pic, but a combination of him landing belly down in a thick patch made it not worth the effort.

What's the deal with the carbine 'slave? Bullets shaving on the way in?

Had to trim the beard, that much mojo can make a man soft after he gets used to relying on it.

Sweet day there BFF! Too bad you guys struck out on the horns too.

Lots more than a gun. Glad you fellas grasp that concept.

Elkhunter, sorry that pic is so poor. Credit where due that CT. double is a very well made piece of iron in all regards. For all I know it might even shoot, but Holy Jaysus, why would one do that for a .22 WMR??? Least they could'a done was a Hornet or maybe a .25-20 Winchester. It weighs around the high end of 4 pounds I'd guess...maybe 4#12oz? They came close to class, but failed in my seldom humble opinion. Might as well put a Weaver rail on it for an Aimpoint sight.

'Flave, I'll put you in the will. What for might be a SURPRISE!!!

A classy double in .223ai (fast twist of course) might be neat.

But you'd probably want the taper of the parent case que no?

Agreed Dan,when I think of a double rifle it's more of .40 caliber and larger, open sights and BIG GAME.

Welcome BobinNH to the GTE!! Pull up a chair/bar stool and enjoy. cool

Double rifles work better with a RIMMED case ie...22mag,30/30,.470 nitro etc because the actions are not that strong as is a bolt action.

grin Yea,it's that a double rifle(to me at least) means cartridges the length of your middle finger and the size of your thumb.

No, Bob, you can't buy those with cash. They're ALWAYS on a long term payment plan..with high interest.
