A $2k down payment on a $51k truck ? That don't compute.
At about $20/ $1000 borrowed, that makes your payment $40/mo less. On a $51k purchase, that $40 is the diff between a $1k/mo payment or a $960 mo payment.
Keep the colt. It colt will retain its value long after that truck is gone.

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...
