129 Alliant Reloder 22

Potential RL22 subs. H4831SC might be your friend if you can find any of that. Good luck. Been told that MRP and RL22 are the same powder.

Damn jmcd, that really sucks - sorry to hear that. As I recall, I believe we're neighbors and that hits hard that close to home.

Dan,I have 5 lbs of H-4831,is it possible to get about 2600 fps with a 175 Remington PSP. Also have IMR 7828.

Right now the 175 Rem is seated out to 3.2165" and I can go farther out if need be,this CZ has a long magazine and throat.

That qualifies as the biggest load of bullflop I've read in awhile. All you need Jorge is a couple of wires at the numbers.

My sense of it, and little more: Was a little surprised you got the speed you did with the RL22 frankly, but given that I'd suggest that 4831 just might be a better call than IMR7828/RL25. They are, as I recall, a bit bulkier than either the 4831 or 22, so the question I'd have is whether or not you could stuff enough in there. You recall if you were compressing the charge much with the 22?

I've always held to the popular dogma that a caliber depth seating is pretty much a minimum and with the heavier bullets would be looking for solid neck tension if going long, just to keep things where they belong.
