'Nuther thing you might consider is you can get a lot more charge in a case with ball powders. If you can find a pound that Winchester 780 might be worth a look.

Jorge, essential difference between your ops and mine? I could stop and think about it. That and sometimes the LZ was lit by tracers. 6 and a half dozen crap shoot either way I guess. Dunno why but Marine pilots (A6 & F4) that flew with us thought we were whacked out of our skulls. One of our Snake drivers flew a Steel Tiger on a -4 one night and assured all us Cav yokels Phantom jocks were the one what lost their minds.
Funny, but as I see it the thing you did, the part that would have bothered me the most was night launch rather than landing. 'Course I was always a bit of a contrary sort.
