two giants were in a stubble field, steadily walking away from each other. I split the distance and went up the middle. the one on the right was bigger but moving faster, so I setup on the closer pig to the left. even he was still too far a solid lockup in the gusty wind, and I didn't get a clean shot. he bolted, but two more rounds, and he wasn't going anywhere. I wheeled around 180 degrees and the other pig was so far he wasn't even running. the wind muffled the already suppressed shot. still, he knew something wasn't right, and he continued on until he was out of sight. we'll just call the others target practice.

I like how you can turn a 150 pound hog into a 300 pound hog with the right camera angle.

I like how you can turn a 150 pound hog into a 300 pound hog with the right camera angle. i don't shoot very many hogs and when i finally get one it's usually small. but 150lbs? really??? hell his left nut weighs more than 150lbs! if u want to see a camera trick check this out. sometimes i use a two foot pig to make my rifle look 6 feet long! another trick is to use my truck to make four hogs look like a dozen!

You got one cooking in the pit yet?? Or are you hunting again tonight? went out yesterday to hunt but 55mph blowing dirt was too miserable. problem was visibility was so poor i couldn't leave and had to camp in the truck. i think there are actually a couple of tumble weeds in the pic about 20ft in the air. rocks hitting the windshield sounded like hail! with nothing to do except look at cam pics, i began daydreaming about machine-gunning these hogs. but they were smarter than me and stayed home. the wind died down to about 25mph after midnight, but at 25 degrees you still feel it. thankfully a tough old boar came out about 3:00am or i would have been shut out.

rifle is a dpms lr308t. changed to adjustable stock to get my eye positioned behind the night scope. different grip, trigger, pins, gas block and charging handle to suit my liking. sometimes it wears an ir light or ir laser, but it always wears the can. accuracy is so so. minute of pig i'd say

Hey Dave. Here is the original pic before I photoshopped it for you. I didn't think anybody would notice, but justin10mm is pretty sharp. I also fixed your quote. Looks like you need some time in the tanning bed again!

here is an unassuming pic of heaven and myself on a casual hog hunt... ... but on closer inspection, it's obvious he has some deep rooted issues. later i caught him putting the boot to these babies. they still had milk mustaches. shame on you heaven!

I can still hear those piglets rustling through the stalks and you had the night vision. Could have been Hannibal stalking ME for all I knew. I was good until I emptied the revolver.

Yea. That's the real most interesting man in the world. And the guy in the unphotoshopped 300-lb hog pic is really you. Not confusing at all.

Very nice! I got the chance to use NV+AR this past weekend. Talk about a good time! If I lived closer to pigs, that'd definitely be a worthwhile investment.

The full moon was too much to resist, and I had to go out last night. Only a couple of rushed shots were possible before they all vanished. Fortunately they were right on the mark. I dragged the deceased out quickly to let the area settle back down. Perhaps these hogs were a little too familiar with how this scene has played out in the past gunshots, commotion, then all is quiet again. Well I was waiting for them this time. Knowing all too well the biggest, smartest boars let the others take the first shots, then come out after it's safe, I circled back and waited. It came as no surprise a monster check that a man killer, came out thinking the coast was clear. Little did he know he had just drawn aces and eights, the dead man's hand. The cutters and curls were so impressive, I snapped a quick pic where he laid. A little oinker was with him, albeit at a safe distance. Apparently it wasn't safe enough. If I can see him, he's in danger.

pig update - i caught these in some crp and had to creep in ever so quietly. wind was -2mph. when the wind is negative, it actually pulls bodily sounds out of you that would otherwise be inaudible. when i got close, i could see there weren't any big hogs in the group. having put forth so much effort, however, i'm afraid they all had to die!
