Member mrfudd will donate up to 8 US flags flown over his compound for a day. All you need to do to receive a flag is donate at least $50 to Savannah's fund. Donsm70- I have to buy the flags. I think that they are 3x5 and are very nice looking. My Lt bought one and flew it for the last few days while waiting on the birth off his daughter. She was born yesterday and will have a nice reminder of her dad's service.

A follow up. I bought the flags today and will begin flying them tomorrow. They are 3x5, 100% nylon with embroidered stars, and best of all, made in the USA.

257 - I have two flags that my daughter flew last year in Afghanistan from FOB Sharana. One has over 300 hours of combat flight time of which 200+ hours were flown under "goggles" (night ops). The other has about half the same number of similar hours. I am considering letting one go for this cause.

257 - got your PM. I sent her an email asking her opinion and if she would/could somehow validate it with a pic and/or a letter. I have two flags, my son has one and there is another a friend has, so giving one to a good cause would be worth it. I will let her tell me what she thinks.
