I'm beddin' the thing Don, it takes time, craftsmanship, and patience....

Once I get that done, then it's to the range for barrel break-in. I do one round, then clean down to bare metal for the first 200.

After that, I'll post some more pics.

I don't use patches, I use Wipeout and let it sit overnight. I got this rifle for the 2014 deer season.

Looks to be a nice rifle.
Anxious to see more.

I molested a .260 Mtn. Rifle in Reno on the way through.
Stainless.
Tanner would have de-nutted himself for it.
It was nice.
I left it there.

What kind of engraving is that and who did it?

I have a 6mm Brux barrel I'd like some nice markings on and am having a hard time finding someone to do anything but stamp the chambering into the metal.

Bartlein did it. This is the first barrel I've gotten directly from them, I assume it's their standard barrel marking.

Have Mike Bryant of Bryant Custom do it. Nobody fits a barrel better and he engraves all his markings.

More later. I'm loadin' up some rounds. After I finish weighing the brass, uniforming the primer pockets, and turning the necks inside & out, I'm gonna uniform the bullets, it's the latest in accuracy retention.

why does Smith Jones shop look suspiciously like your basement? Would you be interested in turning my necks inside and out? Maybe putting uniforms on my meplats? Maybe wash and iron, too? I'd really like to retain my accuracy, but just don't have the tools or the no-how....

OK Don, it's done. M70 CRPF action, Bartlein #2 8-twist finished at 24", Hunter's Edge, and a cheap scope I picked up at the pawn shop for $50, guy was asking $75:
