BTW, I know that's where they put the scoring circle on the target, but that is not where you want to stick an arrow in a turkey. The vitals at that angle are behind the leg. I'd shoot for the copper colored strip of feathers on the wing. If you call, getting one into a strut and taking a Texas heart shot works great. They can't see you draw when they're facing away in strut. [/quote] That just happened to be where I was picking a spot. From 32 yards back, the white spots in the target is all I could really get a "burn" on. After that I did study some turkey anatomy, from what I heard, on a broadside bird like that, you want to be behind the wing butt about 2" and 2/3rds up. I realize that a turkey with a trad bow is pretty much impossible. It's okay, I don't really like eating the [bleep] anyhow.

Picasso? Is that Italian for Poobah, or just a clever allusion?
You understand of course that if he had annealed the case necks it would have been a perfect clover leaf, right?

Sorry Dan,but you are wrong, the top shot was because of recoil,he jerked the trigger.

I'm not so sure Elks. Been my observation that jerking triggers or other things for that matter, generally results in horizontal dispersion. Bedding does that too sometimes, but the barrel has to warm up first. Vertical dispersion on the other hand, mostly comes from velocity deviations. Or deflection off of gnats.
However, as is common with antiques, sometimes the "F" in F=MA is lower case. We may never know the truth, but it's out there. Somewhere.
