It's always nice when a long brown box shows up on your doorstep from GA Precision... I had the old 6XC barrel changed out to a #7 Bartlein chambered for 6MM Creedmoor. It's 26", 1-7.5" 5R. My old "Beater" has new life....grin! So far, so good. At least in close. First groups after finding the length of throat.....I think she'll be ready for Icebreaker III.

I note the ported barrel. Why is that ? To allow the shooter to see how the shot goes through the scope ? E

Congrats. I bet that's a fun rig to shoot.
Btw, ever try the Lapua 6mm 105 bullets on game?

I was a bit surprised to see the brake too....what's it like to shoot with no ears on?

It's really nice for spotting impacts. The recoil is like an air rifle. I also figured it was time to start wearing ear protection in the field.....leaving the brake on the rifle while coyote hunting will force me to use protection, something I've never done before and I'm paying the price now for thousands and thousands of unshielded rifle shots over the years. I have 80% loss in my right ear, and 60% loss in the left.

Very nice rig. To make brass do you neck down the 6.5 CRM or neck up and fireform .22/250 brass?

It is. George also provided me with a thread protector also. It's really easy to remove and clean.

Nice drive shaft, especially the break at the end. How quick is that chambering, 150 fps over the XC all else equal?
What does it mean when the primers fall out of the case?

Scenar Shooter I was not trying to be a jerk about your stock just figured there was a story there. I am pretty rough on stuff but that chip is at a high level, was just curious.
Looks like she is gonna poke little holes.

It's really nice for spotting impacts. The recoil is like an air rifle.... I've got brakes on my 22-250 and 6mmBR. It's nice being able to watch the hit in the scope on 20x. Obviously neither one of them need it for the recoil, for me it's all about seeing your hits.

Laffin', I have a bracket I clamp on the stock so I can shoot the rifle from my Manfrotto tripod for certain stages in comps....those round divets are some of my own gunsmithing to help hold the brace in place and keep it from slipping under fire.....ugly, but effective.....grin!

I can shoot the rifle pretty solid from standing position......way better than offhand. It works well from sitting position as well.
