Rhodes canyon again, January 24-26, 2014.
Broken horn hunt.

I'm stoked Splat. Got my rifle from Fats here on the campfire, picked up some leupold rings and base from here as well - will be playing around with it this weekend.

Let's go hunting!

Glad you and Splat drew Rufus but I got a big fat ZERO in 16E for cow elk Elk. cry frown Guess I don't need to worry about getting my 7mm Mag barrel fluted or working up a new load for the 7mm.... Bummer!

Now to wait and see if WY has been kind to me for doe/fawn deer and antelope.... Hope so, have a cool 6mm Rem G33/40 Mauser to try out on speedgoats and deer with 80gr TTSX.

Had a buddy come thru for me and I'm getting a private land cow elk tag in the Charma area this year! Awesome and really happy to be going hunting and have elk meat in the freezer this winter. Umm, can taste that back strap already.... grin

No luck here.

It was my last year as a resident.

Best of luck to everyone that drew.

wow!
looks like 4 of us members are going to be there on that oryx hunt.
As it looks, clodhopper and I will be staying in alamagordo.
Maybe meet and greet time.

Me too! Drew 52 first rifle and my son drew youth 52 cow in November. I always bow hunt elk, so this will be interesting. The Barbary hunt is a blast! We took ewes this year. Congrats to all and next year for the others.
