They just got in the field around here.
Was wetter in the last two weeks than all spring.
Wet holes in April where there were none in March.

Cows are pretty much out grazing in the hills here. Not to summer pasture yet, but will be after field work and fences gets done.

Hard to believe it's almost May.
Late March/early April was a bad kocksucker, good riddance. Bet we have 20-30 calves with froze off ears.

Travis, we haven't branded any yet but hopefully get done within the next week or two. Usually do 2 or 3 smaller seperate brandings with a calf table.
Chitty part is pairing off semi loads, takes time getting the right calves and cows on each load when they go out to pasture.

Jealous of the ranches that just open a gate, that would be alot less work.

C, that is great news for your guys calving, can't do much better than that!

We lost some, saved some, did what we could do. Just about done, four 2 year old's left and maybe 20-40 old cows to go.

Don't get stuck with the tractor!

What make drill? I see some giant Seed Hawks around, big mofo's.

Its a 2002 60 foot borgault. Ya i heard that Seed Hawk made a new 90 footer that supposedly "pulls just like a 50 footer." If we get stuck with that tractor we will be absolutely screwed. We don't got anything big enough to pull that bad boy out.

We're a little nervous about having enough tractor up in our hills for pulling that new drill, but everybody has assured us we should be ok. We always say "you haven't seen our hills" Grin. Power shouldn't be a problem but traction might.

You guys must calf more then a few head down in that country. You've been calving for a long time. Must feel that way for you too.

60' is pretty big, we just have an older 40' Concord and an old 875 with nice wide tires. Like you say, power isn't the problem, keeping it on the ground can be!

She starts spinning just lift it out of the ground a little and feather the seed in.....grin

Any snow left up there?

Ya 60' is going be pretty big. Our old drill was 34 ft Morris. We have a 1983 Versatile 975 with 400 hp for sale right now that was our old tractor.

Snow is pretty well gone. I see that there is a 30% chance of snow for Westby on Tuesday.

I'm in Minot for school and all of the flood talk has really taken off I see they are sandbagging in Burlington(7 miles out) tonight now. I think Regina got record snow fall this year.

No really.... Go [bleep] yourself.

As long as I'm alive, I'll be the biggest pain in the ass in Helena whenever the game commission hears arguments about crossbows in archery season that I possibly can be. [bleep], I'd love to see the TBM get the "absofukkinlutely no electronics of anykind" agenda of theirs passed.

Just yesterday in fact, I educated a [bleep] from work about gadgetry on the 3D course and hunting fields. I never seen a [bleep] backpedal and make more excuses about missing [bleep] with a bow in my life.... Bottom [bleep] line is. Bowhunting AIN'T Archery and getting it done with solid form and fundamentals trumps posing and bullshit everytime.

I know a [bleep] missing his right arm, and he's still bowhunting with a recurve and killing elk. I don't want to hear some fat ass roadhunting piece of [bleep] telling me he's disabled and needs a crossbow to use in archery season ever again. I'll sick Jimmy B on his ass.

Oh, and if I finish top 5 next weekend, I'll know I did very well in that crowd.

Thanks for the insight. That helps.
I will now devote all my energies to bringing crossbow love to the masses.
VW owners all across Montana need the ability to fill their larders, even though they be pavement bound.
The Montana Game Commission will be on my speed dial.
I know people.

P.S. to all you elitists my row of 700's are now for sale.
PM me for the caliber, stock and scope specs you need.
Reloading equipment, bullets, primers and powder are up for grabs also.

Thanks again, Ace for the direction.

I will take the blue rocket back.

Chunk the 223 AI and scope in the box, too.

Thanks.
