Haven't seen one of those around here, I have a half dozen semi brake drums coming from a mate, that I am going to weld together and make a couple of wood heaters for the living area.

It does mean Ackley Improved. Parker Ackley designed a system of altering the degrees of shoulder angle + thus increase velocity. The 223 AI is one of the few that has 2 choices,28 deg. or 40 deg.40 degree is standard in his other chamberings. Norman, did you find this on Wikipedia? Their info is often incomplete. AI = Awesome Ingwe. Make a note, don't forget, thank me later.
