Bud texted it to me and said it was in KY. Told him that wasn't Kentucky, that was Heaven!
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

I think beasts are beset with short attention spans, and anyway there was a clown to chase and everybody hates clowns.
The rider learnt something fundamental about aviation, namely that flying is easy but landings are the ultimate test of piloting skills.
I remember a phrase from the world I walked for a few years, that of aircraft accident investigation. "The aircraft departed from controlled flight." So did the rider/sprinter, whatever you want to call him. Target?
That reminds me of another affair, whilst I was an air traffic controller. Working high altitude over the central/south Florida east coast. A 737 northwest bound coming out of the islands at 35 grand and an opposite direction A7 climbing to 37 grand out of NAS Jax. Asked the Corsair pilot rate of climb and the numbers looked good so I told him to expedite to 37 and issued traffic to both aircraft...blah blah blah.
A7's rate of climb began to slow out of 35 and distance was shrinking...it does that with closure rates of 16 miles per minute. Asked Navy his altitude, no answer and they were about 7 miles head on. Asked again, no answer. Yo Navy, WTF? "Standby" came back in a muffled high pitch squeak.
So there wasn't anything to do for it, the 737 called traffic in sight but the way he said it, I couldn't tell if he was scared or laughing. Head scratcher that. Couple of radar sweeps later Navy calls, targets are no longer merged and distance it increasing. Navy says he's out of 31 beans trying to climb to 370 again. WTF? He had reported out of 35 before the targets merged.
Long story shortened a bit, apparently the A7, in early editions, didn't have a lot of juice up above 31 grand or so, but the pilot was trying to help so he pushed it a little. Just enough that just prior to reaching 37 and about a mile in front of the 737 he "departed from controlled flight" and did something akin to cartwheels as he passed over the 737. Navy and me, we got puckered asses. The 737 pilot thanked us for the airshow when I transferred communications to Jax Center.
Lesson learned: Don't ever trust a pilot, they'll screw you every time. I've known that a long time, but had left my pilot license at home that day. Girls know it too, but most of 'em like it.

Howdy [bleep].
Stopped for a can of snuff and seen they had Coors in the old short-necked fat little bottles. Had to pick up a sixer. Those bottles as a general thing predate me, and as such the only beer I've had from them previously was Lucky Lager. Was the only thing the store carried in AK that I could afford to buy in the quantity required. Long story short, I prefer the little bastards.
What says you guys?
