Big Redhead was right...7x57 and 'sucks' in the same paragraph is Blasphemy of the highest order. So, what you're saying is, that 7x57s are only good for blasting femurs????

No! No! NO!! That was his guide while he was in Brazil shooting crossdressers that were stealing his underwear. And he was testing that new lever-action semi-auto drilling that I heard he got from ingwe. What's the matter? Can't you follow a story and keep it straight? Hell, even Flave can do that..... BTW: The .357 Maximum AI is the best round for bear defense. Those 110gr Gold Dots don't way overpentrate as bad. Geeze, you come in late on a thread and ALL kinda F'ed up.

I don't know why, but that reminds me of a time in RVN when two bad guys were hiding in a hand-dug waterhole (probably three feet in diameter and three feet deep), until we put a single 175mm round in the hole with them. Couldn't have done that again in a hundred tries.
I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Prolly not with the 175mm, but an 8" will. I like 8" guns a lot. And A6's and B52s and A1Es and stuff like that.

John, in the spirit of your first post that started this thread, I haven't read the whole thing. So someone else may have commented that another thing that has not changed is a lot of folks never think about using the search function (I know its not perfect.). If you go away for a while and then come back, sometimes you think you haven't been away judging by the questions that are posted.

Everyone knows the best deer cartridge is the one in your hands!! I am thinking the 17 Mach 2 has just the right amount of panache, power, and down range energy for the big bodied deer I see in Virginia...

It should do well on a Texas heart shot though.
