I have been shooting stuff "DRT" with a 257WBY for about 30 years now. Just an amazing quick killer of medium to light skinned large game animals.
Lots more fun that a 7mm RemMag IMO, but have to admit that I sure like my 7mm Mashburn Super a great deal, too. 120gr TTSX's (Moly coated) at 3700fps+ are also deadly deersmackers.
LOVE God, LOVE your family, LOVE your country, LIKE guns and sports.
About 2016 team "R" candidates "We definitely need a crew with a sack of balls the size of hot water bottles, bloviated estrogen leaking feel-gooders need not apply." Gunner 500

Shot quite a few deer and coyotes with my 257 Weatherby before I sold it, and every one was a DRT with no bullet recovered using 100gr TSXs.

The .257 wby and the 100 TTSX have almost always dropped animals on the spot for me.
I would imagine the accubon or Scirocco (both on my agenda to get loads for for this year) would both work as well.
