P.S. does lighting up a Swisher help, on the skeeter front?
That's what we used to do in AK., but we were drunk, so I'm not totally sure if it helped. Nothing seems to help. I only smoke little cigars in titty bars though. When I was up there we resorted to burning some awful schit. It was a powder in a long cardboard can like a pringles tube? You dumped some poweder on the metal lid, lit it, and it was supposed to keep the [bleep] away from camp. We ended up burning the shcit out of it inside the wall tent every [bleep] minute we were in there, otherwise sleep was not going to happen. I don't remember what that stuff was, but it smelled bad.

I hope the skeeters are better up there than they are down here. I'm close to bashing my head in with a rock everytime I venture forth from an enclosed setting. Usually my shop is skeeter free, but there's so many little bastards it was all I could do to change oil in my pimp ride yesterday. Mensa never sent me a stipend...  Using both spinners and flies.... Skeeters usually not too bad up there, and always on shore..we spend most of the day in the boat where they dont go...

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Got black as [bleep] and filled in with big thunderboomers from waaaaaay the [bleep] out i like 5 mikes. Shcit was moving. Snapped a couple pics but they turned out like schit.
Raining now, the way the wind was blowing I was just a bit worried. Looking for Toto and yellow brick road.

I'm packing a schittload of tackle to head north to Alberta in a day or so for two reasons.

is this a DIY expedition or guided?
Boat?
Its a fly-in lodge, no guides cause as they say, you don't need them....Boat is a 16 foot v-hull lund, basic canadian fishing boat. Good weather means 100+ pike per day in the boat.... Should have signed up for the hot, redheaded guide; even if you don't need one. Would have made for a more memorable adventure. PS What happens in Canada, stays in Canada.
