Ok, so I took some time today and got some data for my Marlin .357.

Here's the big picture. I shot 9 loads at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards. I knew she was a decent shooter, but I'm happy nonetheless.

5 .357 and 4 .38 special. 25 yard and 75 yard groups are in red. 25 and 100 are circled in black

Here is 125 grain XTP over 21.5 grains of H110. Crazy elevation changes, but stayed tight.

Here are 158 gr Rem SJHP over 15.5 gr H110

Here are 158 gr Fed American Eagles JSP

Here are 180 gr Rem SJHP over 13 gr H110 in slightly shortened .357 brass.

Here are 148 gr wadcutters (hard not soft hollow base) over 7 grains Unique in 357 brass. [bleep] tight at 25 but go to schit quickly there after. Only one made it on paper at 100.

[Linked Image]

Here's the sleeper load. 125 gr Rem SJHP over 6 gr TrueBlue in 38 cases.

[Linked Image]

Here are 135 gr Gold Dot short barrels over 7 gr HS6 in 38 cases.

[Linked Image]

Here are 158 gr Oregon Trail swc over 6.5 gr HS6. Started out ok, didn't even bother with them at 100.

[Linked Image]

Here's plain old soft hb wadcutters over 3.(?) gr of 231 in 38 cases. Single fed these. The 100 yard group was off target loooooow and right. But went into a 2.5" group roughly. I watched these fly through the air at 100, was pretty cool.

Bought it at the source......along with a few hundred beers over the years....
It's wore so thin I had to retire it.
