Coffee grounds.

My BIL told me about it and I thought he was nuts, but even the Terro wasn't working, so we tried it.

Went to the nearest Starbucks and asked for the "garden grounds" as that is what they refer to them as and they gave us two large plastic bags full of them.

We sprinkled a solid line, about 2"-3" wide, all the way around the house and have not had one ant in the house for over four years now.

Don't ask me what's the effective ingredient or why it works, it just does.

Mix about 1 oz. of orange oil to a quart of water in a spray bottle. Spray base boards and counters. It also make a great cleaner for your counters.

This above is the one. It's a jelly type trap. The ants take it back to the nest and it kills the queens. Gone.

+1

Put a few drops were they are located the most and give the stuff a day or so to work. No more ants.

We destroyed our ant population with this simple, safe, concoction
How to Make Boric Acid Ant Traps

We cut off bottom of a water bottle to make a little disposable dish. Make a dish 3/8" high and fill it half full of the solution. Ants go for it like rednecks go for beer and bacon. When it's full of dead ants, toss it in the trash.

Great stuff, that.

A LOT of bang for one's buck, too.
