Hearing someone order a Highland Park 25 on ice is worse than hearing someone, likely the same miscreant, order a prime steak cooked well done.

I bet there are a couple that could change your mind. If you see some Rock Hill Farm bourbon give it a try, preferably neat in a nosing glass.
I really love malt whisky too, but the prices have gotten ridiculous. I completely agree sir. I have the glasses ready, now if you'd be so kind as to send me a "drinking list" I'd love to develop a taste for bourbon. The last one I tried, Knob Creek I did not care for. Jorge, give Buffalo Trace a try. It's pretty good in my opinion and a little smoother than Knob Creek which used to be my brand. Buffalo Trace is even about $10 cheaper! Keith

That's too rare even for me. I've found super rare steak to even be less, that's right, less tender. Squishier sure, but chewier than lightly cooked medium rare.

I did raw before it was popular.
Early 60's on Guam, every dime I spent was earned spearfishing. There be a chittload of sharks there and they are drawn to the sound of struggling fish and scent of blood. If you bite a fish really hard behind the eyes you can crush its wee little brain...struggle over. Sort of makes a pop sound. Don't much care for the taste of raw fish, but like the Doctor in the Gray Suit less.
I really hated it when scales got wedged between my front teeth.
Rare beef is good but if they bellow you're doing it wrong.
