Was out last week and found lots of doggies. I've taken to walking and shooting them from off hand, kneeling, or sitting. When using my heavy varmint I always set up and shoot from prone.

Am I the only one that waits for doubles?

That's good, because it appears Shrapnel went into hiding knowing you'd be back soon. If he ever re-appears, you guys hold his feet to the fire and make him take you to his killing fields.

A coon killed my last remaining pheasant and 2 chukars last night. War has officially been declared. Live-trap is now set and baited with a chukar carcass. If that don't work, I'll switch to plan 'B'...

Hope he enjoyed his last meal......

Implementing plan 'B' tonight. The bastid returned and avoided the live-trap. He munched 2 more chukars. At this rate, I only have a few days supply left. Best be putting an end to it.....

I made a bit of a tactical error, instead of buying ammo, dies, etc, yesterday in Lewistown, I got lured in by the on-sale Leupold VX-1 3-9... I'm think about getting either a standard Leupold target turret, or an M1. I would just get elevation, not windage. Thoughts?

Edit: there was also a matter with a drain snakesick that kept me from more important matters, such as blowing up the local fauna..

Let me know if you don't catch him by Monday.
If need be I can slip Sally in a USPS flat rate box and have her there in a couple days. She'll make short work of that bandit and happily ride in that little box for a couple of days for the opportunity.
