The 16 is my favorite bird gun. I have a Citori, a Sweet Sixteen {Jap} and a Winchester 24. I may have to have a 4th because we just got a couple of the CZ doubles into the shop and they are N-I-C-E! Hell, if I wasn't such a gun snob I'd even buy a H&R single shot with the black stocks/nickeled receiver in 16 to shoot squirrels with. I may get it anyway and just not tell anybody....

Oh yea! I've got two drillings, a Rempt SxS and a Rempt O/U, and an Ithaca NID grade 1, all in 16 gauge.

I have one of them (Winchester 37) too and a Savage 220B. I also had a 50's or 60's vintage 870.

I have a Parker VH-16 gauge of my fathers and his hunting partners Lefever Nitro Special in 16 gauge. Both guns work great and get a lot of use on the cottontails.

good choice for rabbit - critters. Are we 16 gauge fans going to turn out like the MacIntosh computer users, a diehard 10% of shooters? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have several Ithaca model 37 16's. Favorite gauge and gun for upland. I'm partial to the older 37's with the "ringtail" or "corn cob" forends. Others are always amazed at the "performance" compared with their 12 gauges. Of course that probably has at least as much to do with the number of shells I put through them.

I'll probably inherit the father-in-law's French SxS 16. His father brought it back from WWII.

A Ithaca M37, Lefever Nitro Special, and a Philly Fox A Grade that was a gift from a friend who introduced me to doubles and the 16. I grew up hunting grouse with a single shot 12ga, so when I got the Beretta a390 I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Havent used a 12 since I got my first 16. There is nothing like a walk in the fall woods with a slim 16 over your arm.
