Can't help out with your list of propellants, but if you come across some HS-6, I like 8 grains and a WLP. No HS-6 but I have some HS-7 and have never found any loading data for it. Might go on the grass one day.

8.1 grains of VV 3N37, 230 Hornady FMJ-RN, 1.275 OAL, WW brass, CCI primer will go a touch over 950 fps, pressure shows to be at 19.3 Kpsi with WW brass that holds 26 grains of water. Starline brass (or at least what I have) holds 28 g. water, so a small gain in velocity would be possible. I wish I had some to try. Sounds like they may be closing the doors. I hope not as I like N110 for many things and have wanted to pick up some of their other powders to try too. If I run across some, I'll be jumping on it. I've not really tried to keep on top of it, but from what I understand, it may just be one plant. I've used N110 in the .44 mag and going to try N135 in my Garand. It would be my luck that I found a powder that works like I want, so they quit making it...

10.0 grs AA-#7 and a 230 gr Speer gold dot.
Gunner I tried 10.5 a while back, contrary to my usual protocol of starting low and working up, and it was not very accurate. No pressure issues, though, luckily. I'll see how 10.0 works. Thanks 10-4 RD, that being said my +P+ load [with 22lb Wolff springs] is 12.0 grs AA#7 with the same bullet, it also shoots very well and runs about 1025 fps from my 5" all steel Springfield TM. While not a 230 grain load, back when I had the time to reload, my ATF was a hard cast H&G #68 200 grain SWC with 6.5 grains of 231, taper crimped with an OAL of 1.260".
Good for about 1,050 fps out of a 5" 1911. And it hit like the hammer of Thor.
For practice and IPSC, I reduced the powder charge to 5.9 grains of 231 and kept everything else the same.

Thanks for the info. I have a good supply of 200 hardcast and will give it a try when 231 becomes available.
Yesterday, I went out and tried most of the loads offered. While most did OK to good, a load of 7.2 of Power Pistol was exceptional. About 1.1" for 5 at 25 yards off a small bull bag type rest. I use the bag to steady my hands pushing the frame and frontal portions of my fingers into them for support.
Unique came in second with 6.0 being the second tightest group at about 1.8" and 7.2 ringing the 2" dot on all sides at about 2.75. No apparent pressure issues with 7.2 from the looks of the brass and primers, but I went to a range where I could not chrono so no idea of the velocity out of my gun, except for what Shane offered his produced.
I'm going to load up another 30 rounds today and give it another try with the 1911 and 220's. Probably bring the Bisley along too.
Thanks for all the info!

4.5 to 5 grains of Bullseye. This is the original military loading. I suppose Titegroup could be used, but with jacketed bullets only. TG royally sucks with lead. I'm still stuck with about 3 lbs of the crap. That's the classic combo in a .45 ACP. I use 4.5 grains of Bullseye for general use and 5.0 for service ammo duplication loads. Good accuracy and no complaints of any kind.

I have used almost exclusively cast bullets with Titegroup for several years, other than defense loads. I am talking thousands of rounds of 200 gr RNFP. What is the problem you have with Titegroup and cast bullets? The lube from cast bullets can be smoky and messy, but that is not a result of the powder. I have not experienced any more leading with TG than with other powders.

230 gr XTP and 7.2 of Power Pistol? Hmmmmmm.....
In loading 9mm, I find Power Pistol is very clean burning. Is it as clean in .45ACP?
Unique shoots well with 230 jacketed bullets, but is not very clean.

Please tell me more - I'm having great results with TG and cast bullets. What am I missing? Yes, please explain. I have shot thousands of 230gr cast lead with Titegroup. It might be a little smokier than other powders, but function and accuracy have been excellent for me.

It was clean burning. The next time out it shot about 2" for 10, but the Sig's didn't like the load at all. Back to the drawing board.

Titegroup has consistently leaded every gun I've tried it in. Semi-auto, revolver, whatever. the same bullets, loaded to the same velocities with Bullseye, Unique and 231 work perfectly. I've been told that TGs nitro content is exceptionally high. I've also noticed that TG heats the gun to the point I may be able to brand cattle with it. It was pretty good with jacketed bullets, but the heat issue bothers me. I expect guns to get hot, but not to this extreme. So I quit using it, even though I have 3 lbs left from my original 4 pounder. I really wanted to like TG, but it just doesn't work well for me.
