Good range day gents, shot all kinds of combinations, perhaps too many but here is what 100gr KIK 1F .600 compression/.400 seating at 100 (upper left bull) AND the two touching are the Long Lances with 95gr2K same compression:

And a nice cluster at 100 with the PH with both 100gr KIK and 95gr 2F (same compression .780).

Target on left are the Brooks with 105gr 2F and the bottom target 12 0'clock are two LLs with 100gr 1F.

All things considered, it looks like the 1F will work for me and that was my goal given the quantities I have. Clearly the 105gr 2F Brooks are somewhat more accurate, but no difference with with the PHs with either powder so lots of options open

Looks like the PH and the LL with 95 grains of 2f are working. It won't get much better than that at 100. Now if the LL will work at three hundred and over, you're set. The PH will work as far as you can see to shoot it. With 95 grains of 2f KIK you are at or slightly above 1350 fps. That load is a stone cold KILLER. There is a dog baboon in South Africa that won't get within 1100 yards of a Sharps loaded with the PH bullet.

Thanks, guys. Bill as you can see the PH and Brooks also shot well with 100gr KIK 1F. Normally I'd stick with the 2F and call it a day, but I have so darned much of the 1F I'd like to use it. Other than increased fouling, do you see an issue? What do you think the MV is for the Brooks and PH w/100gr 1F? Acutally, the Brooks shot a little better @1052F seated @ .500 vice .600. jorge

As long as you can deal with the fouling and it does not cause a problem with follow up shots, there is no issue whatever with using 1F in place of 2F. iF will give a bit less recoil and velocity. You will be around 1315 with 1F and the PH and 1290 with the Brooks. Either velocity will work on anything over here or in Africa, and I mean anything.

Thanks, Bill. I managed to get at least four shots with the PP and 1F provided I blew into the chamber after every shot. Although I suspect here in Florida with the world's worst, horrible, hot humid weather (did I mention I HATE Florida?), fouling keeps a bit more moist than up in the lovely high plains of Wyoming where Keith lives.
