After I went ass over tea-kettle off a boulder and let my rifle break my fall, my 105s weren't hitting where they should have been.... So I was using starsky's arctic rocket.

Furthest I've killed them with 105s is 450. They work....grin.

I ain't telling how far this pistol was... Cuz' I couldn't do it again.

You can only kill a couple of the bastards a day, but it's still a damn good time....

My rig was the only one with confirmed hits/kills after Tanner took a tumble off a boulder and beat the hell outta his 243AI. I was too busy laughing at him to offer assistance. He's got pics of the rifle damage.

If any BTE members ever come through CO give one of us a shout...

Edit: tanner beat me to it

Dave,

I know a great place in your neighborhood for rockchucks. I literally ran out of 243 ammo the first time I shot it up...

Naw, they're so short all I get is a pic of the top of their head. They all look alike from that angle.

I can understand their worry since a block & tackle or a portable crane are so rare in the Montana backcountry. grin

Amazingly beautiful.

Did 5 day inland tour, from Fairbanks to Anchorage & then 7 day cruise back from Wittier to Vancouver. Lots of wildlife, scenery, food & booze, etc.

Would recommend everyone puts it on their bucket list !

Now I have to work hard for a year to pay for it.

Paul.
