Howdy! I'll post pics later, but I recently came into a pair of plain, nickel-plated spurs with squared off eight point rowels, a single leather strap and *get this* what appears to be a Navy Anchor stamped under the base of the spur.

Anyone have an idea what these are? Are they US Navy or was there a company that used the anchor as an insignia.

Thanks!

North & Judd used the anchor symbol, but it would require an inspection to determine if your spurs are genuine.

That's a start. I found them at a farm sale. They were in a cardboard box on a hayrack and were completely covered in oily gunk. I paid $1 for the box, and just recently cleaned them up.

If they are "genuine" is there a history behind the North and Judd company? Do they have a certain value, or can I just start using them?
