Some more at 30' offhand and rapid fire. Fiocchi again except for the 5 circled in orange ( I know, spare the Gruff comparisons...grin) which were Hornady Critical Duty 135 grainers. They measured 1.4" at 30' offhand which didn't seem too bad for an out-of-practice shooter... Looking good MojoHand. I've had a bunch of folks show up for my defensive handgun class with the Ruger SRs. I can't recall a dud in the bunch. All good shooting weapons. My only complaint with them is the slide can be hard to operate for the ladies,or people with hand strength problems. Accuracy has been great, and the grip angle seems to suit a lot of different people. You got it going there Mojo. Nice shooting.

What stock, barrel and trigger are you thinking about? Stock is a B&C Faux Ti take off from the new Remmy Mountain Rifle, trigger is old school Remmy, Barrel is looking like it'll be Benchmark, light contour, 22" ,224 1 in 8 twist. Now...what to chamber ? Thanks Ingwe,I'm trying to figure out what stock to use on the Interarms action.Thinking of either the B&C or H-S Precision. A 3x-9x or a straight 6x scope and for now the trigger on the action will stay. Good Mornin' everyone.

Straight 6X if you have to, but I'd go lower on the power scale. Leupold Custom has the 3X available. I'm recalling that as a 7x57?
H-S or a light Mac for wood(?).

Glad to hear harvest is going well, Sam.
Don't think I could stomach being a farmer. Too much is out of your control...
Just got back from the shop finishing up my kayak rack. Might head down to the river or go pick up that Ruger...
Got to figure out how to keep my tie down straps from 'thrumming'. At 60-65 mph it's like a two stroke motor is bolted to my roof. So loud I almost put in my shooting ear plugs! Maybe loosening them a touch will help... Put a twist in the strap. It will quit strummin. Thought of trying that to see if it would work...now I will! Thanks. 7mmMato is right, putting a twist or 2 in the strap will fix the problem, guaranteed.

BD Dan this is going to be a coyote rifle built on a Interarms action. The .22-6mm I have is 10+ lbs and am wanting another .22-6mm but lighter.Want it to be around 8 lbs ready to go. Any suggestions? Going to have Douglas barrel the action in a #2 contour, which will be 5-1/4 lbs without stock.

BD A twist or 2 in a thong won't do a thing for fluttering, but it will create a bit of a quiver.

Guess on my part but you might make 8# that way w/o metal work.

Well, I took the plunge. Got the grease cleaned out and mags loaded. Range report to come.... Mojo, I'm prolly gonna get a Smith & Wesson Shield around the first of the year, not sure if in 9mm or 40 S&W. Let us know how the Ruger shoots.
