No shots fired BGG. Saw a grand total of about 12 antelope from the pickup on the way out, 5 mule deer, and 2 elk from the horse. Slim pickens, bunch of bow hunters, the usual.
Just cool that the elk came cruising down a coulee straight toward me. He was following a cow and she was out of sight at first. They finally saw me sitting on the horse about 75 yards way, stopped and stared for a second like WTF is that and then hauled ass outta sight.
Appy don't blend in for chit.....grin
SLM, hunting aside it's just neat country for a walk.
Ingwe, still a green tinge, crazy for mid-Sept..
Grade A 99's!

These days I'm concentrating on my navel, and wondering why beer isn't free. Sheeit, a lot of what passes for beer I wouldn't drink for pay. Elitist...

I know this might be veering pretty close to back on topic, but for those in the know, about how many rounds does it take to burn a .223AI barrel....
Ive got one with almost 4K down it, and am wondering if the bell tolls for it.... That depends on how you run it. Probably still a teenager.

Speaking of Jeff O...how did he stage his exit?
Maybe I could learn something from him besides scope mounting.... To settle some worried BTE members, I have decided to post about JeffO. I sent an inquiry to him on his reasons for not posting anymore on the campfire...... I received a nice response that detailed his every breathing moment from the day of his decision, til now. No Schit. He was giddy with glee, as he interpreted the inquiry as "someone actually gave a damn". He was wrong...again. What I found was, he thinks that the negative vibe on the fire is more than he could bear. I sent a hurt feelers report and had a vibrator delivered to his house from Fake Dicks Are Us. I also suggested that maybe he should ease up on the downers and drink more. Pills are bad. This concludes my report. You play with your food too?

With my fave month coming up had to start stocking up on some Octoberfest type beers. There was a time when I often ran 2000+ rds a day thru a -16. Never could figure how to get it to semi auto. I know they had chromed barrels and all but the first 1/3 of the barrel was pretty much a smooth bore when I turned it in. Still shot minute of dink easy enough.
